Green light for copper welding

The pulsed high-power laser, TruDisk Pulse, enables you to efficiently weld highly reflective materials, such as copper. The optimal absorption, as well as the high peak pulse power of 4kW with pulse durations in the milliseconds range, enables unparalleled application results when welding points and short seams. The laser is therefore predestined for use in electrical engineering and electronics. The TruDisk Pulse is based on the proven disk laser technology.

Optimal input coupling

Many highly reflective materials, in particular copper, absorb green laser light much better than infrared light.

Low-spatter welding

Prevent spatter through more uniform heating and a more stable weld pool.

Consistent results

The more stable welding process results in more consistent weld point diameters and uniform welding depths.

Oxidized, sandblasted, or highly polished

The application results are largely achieved irrespective of variations in the material batch.

With the TruDisk Pulse 421, you achieve consistent, spatter-free application results when welding copper, regardless of the surface finish of the material.

Peak power with green light

With electronic and electrical engineering products, spatter during the welding process can result in short circuits or pores in the weld seam. The TruDisk Pulse reduces these risks with its optimal input coupling rate. The material is heated evenly, which results in a more stable weld pool. As a result, there is less spatter. This will help you avoid excessive rejects and cleaning cycles for the system.

High reproducibility during laser welding
Maximum reproducibility

The reproducibility of the components is significantly increased through the green laser light. One weld point is just like the next. In contrast to infrared laser light, the green laser light heats the copper components in a very uniform manner and always in the same way. This enables very precise welding depths with absolute reliability. The disk laser architecture of the beam source also helps, as this is particularly resistant to back-reflections, and is equipped with the active laser power control as standard in the TruDisk Pulse. This regulates the power in real time, pulse for pulse.
