Liquid mixer and cooler

General industry TruPrint Copper Additive manufacturing

This heat exchanger printed from pure copper has more functions than simply removing the heat from a medium. It is also a liquid mixer with two separate inlets at the bottom made from thin ducts (1 mm), which connect to form an outlet at the top of the component. The core enables the medium to be cooled. The side has two connections for a coolant that removes the heat from the mixed liquid. The component is printed using pure copper ETP (CW004A) with a conductivity of 101% IACS, 394 W/(m*K) heat conductivity, and a part density of 99.9%, on a TruPrint with a TruDisk 1020 Green with 515 nm wavelength.

TruPrint 5000 Green Edition

The TruPrint 5000 Green Edition is the medium-format 3D printing system for processing reflective materials such as copper or precious metals. As such, the 3D printer opens up new opportunities for additive manufacturing of large components, induction coils or components for complex cooling applications, e.g. for power electronics and optoelectronics.
