TRUMPF SE + Co. KG operates the entire international web presence of the TRUMPF Group, as well as affiliated web applications. This personal information protection policy (this “Policy”) applies primarily to the handling of personal information on the Chinese website (www.trumpf.cn) operated by TRUMPF and to the customer center MyTRUMPF (Chinese version) based on the domain name (trumpf.cn), while the foreign websites operated by the TRUMPF Group and the other processing of personal information within the TRUMPF Group will be subject to such other personal information protection policies as published on the corresponding websites. This Policy does not apply to the websites to which the external links herein lead.

Personal information

Personal information refers to any kind of information related to an identified or identifiable natural person as electronically or otherwise recorded, excluding information that has been anonymized. This includes information such as your real name, your address, your phone number, or your date of birth. Information which cannot be directly connected to your real identity is not personal information.

Security

TRUMPF takes all necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from loss and misuse, so your personal information will be stored in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public. In some cases, your personal information is encrypted during transmission by means of Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. That is, if your browser supports TSL, then the data protected by TSL can be exchanged between your device and our servers by use of the recognized encryption procedures. Ingenico Payment Services GmbH (https://www.ingenico.com/epayments) ensures the absolute security of your personal information with regard to credit cards. Such information is not stored on our servers, but is processed directly by the respective payment institution. If we are contacted by e-mail, please note that the confidentiality of the transmitted information cannot be guaranteed at this time, and the contents of the e-mails may be viewed by third parties. Therefore, we recommend that you send any confidential information to us only by post.

The Internet environment is not 100% secure, and we will endeavor to ensure or warrant the security of any information you send us. In case of damage to our physical, technical or managerial safeguards, which results in unauthorized access, public disclosure, alteration or destruction of information, and thus causes damage to your legal rights, we will assume the corresponding liability.

In case of a personal information security incident, we will immediately notify you in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations. The contents of such notice will contain the basic circumstances of this security incident and the possible impact, including the measures we have taken or will take in response, together with which we will advise you of the risk prevention and mitigation measures that you can take, as well as remedial actions. We will promptly notify you via email, SMS text message and other means. If it is difficult to provide individual notifications to certain specific personal information subjects, we will use reasonable and effective means to make public announcements. Meanwhile, we will take a proactive approach to report on the handling of information security incidents in accordance with the requirements of local regulatory authorities.

Your rights

According to the law, you can request to exercise the following rights regarding the personal information.

  1. You may request that we provide you with the information about your personal information, or that we correct, supplement, delete or limit the processing of such personal information. Upon request, we will provide you with your personal information in a structured, generic and machine-readable format.
  2. If we use your personal information upon your consent, you may revoke that consent at any time by accessing the "Personal Information Protection Policy" link at the bottom of the webpage. Once you request such revocation, we will no longer use your personal information. If you withdraw your consent, we will not be able to continue to provide you with the corresponding functions and services. However, your decision to withdraw your consent will not affect the processing of the personal information that was previously carried out on the basis of your authorization.
  3. If we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal information, you may also contact us to express your objection. In such case, we will stop processing your personal information, unless your objection is overridden for compelling reasons that make it necessary for us to continue storing such personal information or our processing of personal information complies with legal requirements.
  4. If we use personal information for direct marketing, you can object to such processing at any time without contacting our data protection officer to provide the reasons. In such case, we will stop processing the personal information used for direct marketing. Of course, you may also contact the regulatory authority at any time.
  5. To cancel your MyTRUMPF (Chinese version) account, you may send your cancellation request to mytrumpf.cn@trumpf.com at any time, unless otherwise provided by laws or regulations.
  6. If you request the deletion of your personal information processed by us, or if your personal information is no longer used for the purposes of processing described herein. Please note that just after deletion personal information is restricted only, and will only be finally deleted after a certain period of time, as a way to avoid accidental deletion or intentional damage. For technical reasons, copies of personal information will be made in the form of data backup files through appropriate service mirrors, and these copies will also be deleted after a certain period of time.
  7. Subject to technical feasibility and compliance with the conditions set forth by the national cyberspace authority, you may request that a copy of your personal information be transmitted directly to the third party designated by you if the data interface has been matched.
  8. You have the right to require us to explain to you how we process your personal information and this Policy if you cannot truly understand the contents hereof.
  9. You have the right to complain to the personal information protection regulatory authority about our collection or use of your personal information. You may contact the Cyberspace Administration of China or its local office at any time.

    For security purposes, you may be required to submit a written request or otherwise prove your identity. We may require you to verify your identity before processing your request. Generally, we will respond within fifteen business days. In principle, we do not charge a fee for your reasonable requests, but we will charge a fee for multiple repetitive requests that exceed reasonable limits, as appropriate.

Cross-border transfer of personal information

In principle, the personal information we collect and process through the TRUMPF Chinese website will be stored in the People's Republic of China ("PRC”).

As we provide our products or services through resources and servers located around the world, this means that, with your authorized consent, your personal information may be transferred to, or accessed from, jurisdictions outside the country in which you are using the product or service. As TRUMPF provides you with relevant services through global resources and servers, sharing your data across borders is essential for you to receive our services. Upon your separate consent, the personal information referred to in "Visiting Our Website", "Individual Processing" and "MyTRUMPF" three sections of this Policy will be transferred to the following overseas recipient:

You hereby acknowledge and agree that TRUMPF may transmit your data worldwide. TRUMPF will ensure that your data is adequately protected in accordance with the laws and data protection standards of those countries. Such jurisdictions may have different data protection laws in place, or may not have such laws at all. In such cases, we will ensure that your personal information is adequately and equally protected as if they were within the People's Republic of China. For example, we may request your consent for cross-border transmission of personal information or implement safeguards such as data de-identification prior to any cross-border data transmission.

Update of this personal information protection policy

This Policy becomes effective on [10th, March, 2025 ]. Based on the business functions of the TRUMPF Chinese website, we may need to revise this Policy. When we post the revised policy on the TRUMPF Chinese website, you will need to read the updated policy and give your explicit consent again.
